– Put tomatoes, green chillies in a mixer jar and make a fine paste.
Now heat 2 more spoons in the same pan. When the oil is hot, add cumin, asafoetida, turmeric powder, coriander powder and ginger paste and fry it lightly. Then add tomato, green chilli paste and red chili powder to it and roast the spices until it leaves the oil.
When the masala is roasted, add cream to it and cook it till it comes to a boil while stirring continuously. Then add 1 cup of water and mix it and cook the gravy again till it comes to a boil.
When the gravy starts boiling, add salt, garam masala and finely chopped green coriander and mix.
Now add roasted paneer and matar grains to the gravy and mix it well.
Cover the vegetable and cook on a slow flame for 4-5 minutes.
– Dhaba style pea paneer is ready.
Decorate it with coriander leaves and serve it with paratha, naan or chapati.
